FWD:Energy utilizes a proprietary, patent pending system to convert scrap rubber (from tires and other sources) into valuable products. The technology integrates industrial-scale microwave processing, which is efficient and  environmentally sound.

FWD:black™ is carbon black recovered from the scrap rubber, which is used in tinting and dying applications and as a sustainably-sourced performance-enhancing ingredient in energy devices.

Condensable hydrocarbons from the process become FWD:crude™, a synthetic crude oil that can serve as a sustainably-sourced blendstock with other conventional oil products and chemicals.
